Description
The Traxxas 5872 is a pair of SCT satin chrome beadlock-style wheels for the rear position, supplied as wheels only without tires or foam inserts.
Order these when your tires are still serviceable but a rim has been damaged. A cracked rim face or a chipped bead flange will let a glued tire shift under cornering load and eventually separate, and re-gluing will not rescue a wheel that has lost its bead edge. Replacing the rim and reusing sound rubber is usually a fraction of the cost of a new assembled set.
Sizing follows the short course dual-profile standard, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside. That geometry is what gives short course tires their wide contact patch, and it does not interchange with standard 2.2 or 3.0 inch wheels.
The beadlock ring is molded into the rim face as a styling detail rather than functional hardware, so there are no rings or screws to fit. These use the standard hex mount.
