Description
The Traxxas 5870A is a pair of SCT chrome wheels with a blue beadlock-style ring for the 2WD front position, supplied as wheels only without tires or inserts.
Check the fitment before ordering. On a 2WD Slash the front wheels are narrower than the rears, since the front axle carries no drive load and the narrower track improves steering feel. This is the front-only wheel. For the rear position, or for any corner of a 4X4, the 5868A is the correct part.
Buy these when your front tires still have usable tread but a rim has cracked, chipped at the bead flange, or been gouged badly enough that it will no longer hold glue. A damaged bead edge lets the tire creep under cornering load however carefully it is re-glued, so replacing the wheel and reusing good rubber is the cheaper fix.
The beadlock ring is molded into the rim face as a styling element, so there is no separate hardware to fit.
