Description
The Traxxas 5865 is a pair of assembled, pre-glued tire and wheel units for the 2WD front position, combining SCT chrome wheels with a green beadlock-style ring, licensed BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires and foam inserts, mounted and glued at the factory.
Fitment matters here. On a 2WD Slash the front wheels are narrower than the rears, because the front axle carries no drive load and the narrower track improves steering feel. This is the front-only part; the 4WD and 2WD-rear equivalent in this green beadlock finish is 6876.
The KM2 is a scale reproduction of the full-size BFGoodrich light-truck tire, with the staggered lugs and reinforced sidewall shoulder of the original. It bites into loose dirt, gravel and mud while staying predictable on hardpack, making it a dependable steering tire for varied ground.
Wheels follow the short course dual-profile standard, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside. The beadlock ring is molded styling, not functional hardware. They arrive glued with inserts fitted and mount straight to the hex.
