Description
This is the 1.5mm stabilizer bar for the Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 and TF-5, and it mounts at either the front or the rear of the car.
A stabilizer bar, also called an anti-roll or sway bar, ties the left and right suspension arms together so that when one side compresses in a corner the bar resists the chassis rolling onto that side. Thicker bars reduce body roll and allow higher cornering speeds, but they also transfer weight across the axle more abruptly, which trades away some mechanical traction.
At 1.5mm this is the stiffest bar Kyosho offers in the LA236 series, so it belongs on high-bite surfaces where the car has grip to spare and you want sharper turn-in and a flatter attitude through fast sweepers. On a loose or bumpy track it will usually be too much.
Kyosho supplies the ZX-5 with a 1.2mm rear bar as standard, so this is an optional tuning part rather than a stock replacement. One bar is supplied, and the same bar fits front or rear.
