A pair of 128mm universal swing shafts for Kyosho's Inferno ST truggy range.
A universal joint shaft differs from a plain dogbone in an important way: it maintains constant velocity through its operating angle instead of speeding up and slowing down twice per revolution. On a truggy, where the suspension travel is long and the shafts operate at steep angles, that difference is significant. It shows up as smoother power delivery, less vibration through the chassis, and noticeably less binding at full droop.
The shaft is the wearing element of the assembly. It transmits full drivetrain load through joints that articulate constantly under that load, and once play develops you get a knock on throttle transitions and accelerating wear on the diff outdrives either side of it.
Length is the critical spec, so check it before ordering: at 128mm these are the longer shafts. Kyosho does not state whether they are front or rear and dealers disagree, so confirm against your car rather than assuming.
Two are supplied. Fitment covers the Inferno NEO ST Race Spec and ST-RR Evo.
