Description
This is the centre differential plate for Kyosho's Inferno platform, in the black finish.
The plate sits over the centre differential and holds it in position between the front and rear driveline. That makes it a structural component rather than a cover. All of the engine's torque passes through the centre diff on its way to both axles, and the plate is part of what keeps that diff in exact alignment while absorbing the shock loading of landings.
When the plate distorts or cracks, the symptoms show up in the drivetrain rather than as an obvious structural failure. Gear mesh goes inconsistent, you start hearing noise under power, and the diff bearings and outdrives wear far faster than they should. Because the cause is not obvious, it is a good thing to inspect any time the car is apart after a heavy crash.
This is the genuine Kyosho part at original dimensions, so the diff returns to its designed position. Fitment covers the Inferno MP-7.5 and MP777 including the SP and World Championship versions, Inferno NEO and NEO Race Spec, Inferno ST and the Inferno US Sports.
