A pair of suspension shafts measuring 3mm in diameter by 40mm long, for the front upper arms on Kyosho's Inferno platform.
Suspension shafts, also called hinge pins, are the pins the arms pivot on. They carry the loads the suspension generates through a very small diameter and must stay perfectly straight to do it. A bent pin makes the arm bind so it stops moving freely through its travel, and the symptoms mislead: the suspension feels stiff and damping goes inconsistent, so most people chase the problem through shocks and springs before checking the pins.
On the upper arm in particular, a pin problem also affects camber gain, because the upper arm is what controls how much negative camber the wheel picks up as the suspension compresses.
Length is the only thing separating this from the other shafts in the IF111 family, and 40mm sits between the 38mm front lower and the 48mm rear, so ordering the right one matters. Kyosho lists it across the Inferno NEO through NEO 4.0, Inferno VE, Inferno GT and GT2, the NEO ST Race Spec and the Psycho Kruiser VE.
