This Axial Steel Ring/Pinion Worm Gear set includes a 2-tooth pinion and 10-tooth ring worm gear for the SCX30's transmission, providing the internal gear ratio that transfers power from the motor to the drivetrain. As a heavy-duty steel replacement, it's built to Axial's factory specification for proper mesh and durability.
Because it's a genuine Axial part engineered specifically for the SCX30's worm gear transmission design, it's a direct-fit replacement using the same transmission housing and bearing setup, with no other modifications required. It's the correct choice for rebuilding a transmission after worn or stripped gears rather than replacing the entire transmission unit.
This is a functional repair part rather than a cosmetic upgrade, intended for SCX30 owners doing transmission maintenance or repairing gear damage. One ring and pinion worm gear set is included per package.
