Description
The Traxxas 5878 is a pair of assembled, pre-glued tire and wheel units combining an SCT satin chrome wheel with a black beadlock-style ring, a licensed BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tire and a foam insert, mounted and glued at the factory.
The KM2 is a scale replica of the full-size BFGoodrich light-truck tire, reproducing its aggressive staggered lugs and reinforced sidewall shoulder. That open pattern digs into loose dirt, gravel and mud while staying predictable on hardpack, making it a dependable everyday tire for trucks that run mixed ground rather than a groomed track.
The wheels use the short course dual-profile standard, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside, which is what gives short course tires their wide, planted footprint. The beadlock ring is a molded styling feature rather than functional hardware, so nothing needs assembling.
Fitment is 4WD front and rear, or 2WD rear only. Since these arrive glued with inserts already fitted, they mount to the hex and run immediately.
Fits: Traxxas Slash 4X4 front/rear, Slash 2WD and Slash VXL rear.
