Full Product Description
The Axial AXP8 Gilamon 2.2 RTR is a large-scale trail buggy designed for advanced crawling performance, technical terrain, and serious off-road control. Its durable composite cage and Lexan body panels give it an aggressive trail buggy look while helping protect the chassis on rocks, ledges, and rough trails.
One of the biggest features of the Gilamon is Axial Selectable Drive, also known as ASD. This system works like an advanced cutting brake setup, allowing either rear wheel to be locked independently for tighter turning and more precise maneuvering on difficult obstacles. Combined with AF16P high-clearance portal axles, a 4-link suspension setup, and IS10 internal spring shocks, the Gilamon is built to crawl with control and confidence.
Power comes from an Axial Boulder 550 21T brushed motor paired with a Spektrum Firma 70A 1070 brushed Smart ESC. The included Spektrum DX3 transmitter, SR515 receiver, S682 steering servo, and SX117AX ASD servo give this RTR buggy a strong electronics package right out of the box. Officially licensed Raceline Avenger 2.2 wheels and Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/T tires complete the package with aggressive traction and scale style.
